Andrew Wong joined JWA, John Wardle Architects, in 1995 and was made an Associate in 2005. He has comprehensive experience of residential architecture, a continuing stream of JWA that is important to the testing of new ideas. His understanding of the intricacies of house design and of the finely detailed aspects of construction documentation has contributed to several award-winning houses.

Andrew Wong has worked closely within the design team of JWA on many award-winning buildings over the past ten years.

Andrew's main role and skill is 3D visualisation and design through model making, producing scale cardboard models throughout the various stages of a project, from concept design through to design development stages.  These card models are invaluable for assisting the client to understand their project, and to understand and visualise the building and the various architectural forms and spaces which describe their project.

The scale models are also invaluable for the John Wardle design team in providing creative solutions to sometimes complex spatial requirements, and in later stages to assist understanding for the documentation team and consultants. The making of card models is an (almost lost) tradition within the architecture profession which provides immediate three dimensional understanding for all people involved in the project, and which compliments our computer modelling and rendering team.
