The lobby for  the new commercial tower at 85 Castlereagh Street was recently opened to the public. Vertical stone and timber battens of varying shapes link the entry at street level with a vast open lobby at the base of the elliptical tower.

Splayed structural columns animate the tall volume of the main lobby. The space creates a new vantage point in the city with views out capturing the historic facade of the David Jones store in panorama on the opposite side of Castlereagh Street.
