John Wardle Architects wins Victorian Architecture Medal
In addition to receiving the prestigious William Wardell Award for Public Architecture, the Nigel Peck Centre for Learning and Leadership, at Melbourne Grammar School, has won the 2008 Victorian Architecture Medal, the highest honour amongst all categories of the RAIA Victorian Architecture Awards.

"Due to the competence with which the confluence of presences is handled, the project has significant physical and intellectual presence - both admirable qualities for a school's library and knowledge hub. Beautifully and thoughtfully crafted this project generously resolves a complex variety of surfaces, forms and materials" Jury Citation.

Best Overend Award for Multiple Housing for Dock 5
JWA has won the Best Overend Award for Multiple Housing at the 2008 RAIA Victorian Architecture Awards for Dock 5.

"Dock 5 is one of few residential towers that display an approach to design in detail which is both rich and thorough. It employs the usual podium, tower and cap, but with a complexity and finesse in all three dimensions that contrasts with the vertical extrusion more commonly employed for residential towers."
