JWA wins Premier’s Award

The Nigel Peck Centre for Learning and Leadership at Melbourne Grammar School designed by John Wardle Architects has received a Premiers Design Mark in the architecture category of the State of Design Festival awards program. To quote the awards jury, “This building is a refined response to both a demanding client brief and urban, historical context. The building offers a lyrical sequence of spaces and an animation of the streetscape that invites human occupation. A close inspection of the building reveals a deft hand in the skillful resolution of details that hold a consistency with the overall design concept that is achieved only in instances of architectural excellence.”
